This particular phone is from the Acer stable and is the perfect phone for those who love cars and their Android phones as well. For them there is some great news as a Ferrari Android phone is going to be released by Acer. This phone will be available in the market from March. This will be the first ever Android phone which will be sponsored by the legendary Ferrari. This phone will be called the Scuderia Ferrari. It comes as no surprise because of the fact that for the last few years Acer has sponsored the Ferrari Maranello Formula One racing team.
Acer is not saying too much about the Scuderia Ferrari. But the Vice President of Acer, Gianpiero Morbello has commented that the Scuderia Ferrari was conceived with the idea of giving Ferrari fans a greater sense of belonging with their favourite brand. All these new android phones were announced by Acer at the Mobile World Congress which was held in Barcelona amidst a lot of excitement. A lot of Android phones were released at the Mobile World Congress this year and Acer especially released their three major Android phones.
Two of them were the Acer BeTouch E400 and the Acer BeTouch E110. These are two low priced Android phones released by Acer as an effort to bring down the price range of Android phones and introduce them to a more mainstream market in general. The third Android phone was the swanky Acer Liquid e. This is an updated version of the earlier liquid and is pretty feature rich as compared to the other two. This phone sports some of the updated features of the updated Android software which is Android 2.1. The phone will have five screens which will allow the users to install more applications from the selection.Also, it has Quick contacts through which one can transfer easily from the contacts book to the social networking applications. It will also have live wallpapers which is a staple feature of the Android updated 2.1. The keypad is much better and has a more enhanced dictionary as well. Then comes the Scuderia Ferrari obviously.
These android phones will be in town pretty soon for the whole world to see and buy. The BeTouch E400 will touch down in the month of April. However, there are no extra details about the prices, the regions of release or even the carriers from Acer. The other low priced Android which is the Acer BeTouch E110 is coming down a little earlier in this month as well. This phone is however, available on a pre order from Orange and O2 as well. These are available in the United Kingdom. There is also a SIM free version of this phone which is also available online. There is no information available on the higher priced Acer Liquid e. The Android for the car fans which is the Scuderia Ferrari will be available in the market from this month onwards.
