The Monte line that Samsung has started, seems to be going on over drive with a few more additions supposed to be made this season; namely the Monte Bar. This one along with a few others such as the Monte Slider are the handsets that Samsung is supposed to be releasing at the Mobile World Council this year, so this is more of a preview.
The phone is actually nothing as fancy as it sounds and is not touch screen, however it looks pretty good and seems to have taken a lot of inspiration from its predecessor Corby. However, it seems to be that the phone is going to be pretty delightful enough to use, given that it is not very heavy and is among the more lighter phones from Samsung. It seems to be therefore that this one is more of a classic handset form and is meant for people who like their cell phones to be simple and basic and nothing as complicated as most of the recent phone releases are becoming. So the main display is nothing superior, but is of 2 inches in size with a 240X 360 resolution quality of images. The camera too is of 2megapixel but you will have digital zoom. The memory is 40MB but is good enough for the target audience that the handset is meant for.
Overall, the phone in the category that it is playing is pretty good; though we will only have to wait and watch what the Monte line further releases.
