San Diego, CA Addiction Treatment
AToN Center specializes in the treatment of substance abuse and co-occurring disorders. Our integrated services approach offers each client the opportunity to engage in a variety of addiction treatment methods including: Comprehensive psychological assessments, an on-site San Diego detox , recovery study work, intensive cognitive behavioral therapy, exposure therapies, and offsite community support meetings like non-12 Step , SMART Recovery® and 12 Step meetings . We conduct three hours of group therapy and one hour of individual therapy daily. Family sessions are also offered and encouraged. It is our belief that a “one size fits all” approach to addiction recovery can be ineffective, and that each client deserves the opportunity to experience a multitude of therapeutic approaches – known as holistic addiction treatment – in order to create a treatment plan that best fits their unique needs and experiences.
Our California addiction treatment center treats addiction as a whole rather than dealing with the addiction to drugs and alcohol separately. Our rational approach is based on scientifically validated methods and emphasizes taking responsibility for one’s actions, without requiring an allegiance to a “higher power.” We help our residents learn how to understand the consequences of addictive behavior, develop alternative coping methods, understand how to make choices, how to cope with urges, build a new lifestyle and develop relapse prevention skills. Our addiction services begin with a series of assessments conducted by a medical doctor and psychologists . We provide detox services for those in need.

Our intensive, San Diego addiction treatment center balances the client’s therapeutic experience and provides a format for developing the cognitive understanding, emotional stability and constructive behavioral habits that are essential to initiating and maintaining recovery. We strive for a comprehensive understanding of each individual within the context of their own belief system. Our addiction treatment team employs a philosophy of holistic drug treatment and healing, with attention to each client’s mind, body, and spirit. Our staff members have extensive experience and are well versed in 12 Step, SMART and Non-12 Step rehab principles.

Through our structured, but not overly structured, addiction treatment program, AToN Center seeks to provide a therapeutic environment of motivated individuals who are committed to recovery services. Our program has clear expectations and treatment goals that are individualized for each resident. We do not believe in treating people in isolation and from only one perspective and thus offer a variety of
holistic treatment services
.
The AToN Center curriculum provides a minimum of 5 hours of individual therapy sessions per week with doctoral level staff and certified chemical dependency counselors , as well a minimum of 16 hours of group therapy weekly with a group size limited to 6 residents. In addition, 4 holistic addiction treatment services are included per week. Family therapy is offered in 90-minute sessions and is strongly encouraged.
We also offer the following activities to help residents learn to manage themselves and create healthy lifestyles:
Community Meetings, SMART Recovery ® , 12 Step , EMDR (trauma counseling), biofeedback, adjunctive therapy, recreational services, fitness training, organic nutrition and holistic drug treatment services including massage, acupuncture, hypnotherapy, energy healing, watsu, and yoga.
