Aurora Feint is a video game for the iPod Touch and iPhone developed by Jason Citron and Danielle Cassley. In July, 2008, the "Aurora Feint the Beginning"; was launched in the App Store applications, iTunes and it is a single player game that blends the geometric shapes manipulation of Bejeweled and Tetris with the character-building features of a role-playing game.
In December, 2008, the "Aurora Feint II: The Beginning "was released which had community and graphical features. In November, 2008 ‘Aurora Feint II: The Arena' was released which had multi player features and is billed by the developers as the first casual game asynchronous MMOG (massively multiplayer online game). In December, 2008, "Aurora Feint II: Tower Puzzles"; was released and it gives a lot of brain teasers based on the tower places in other titles.
The game series share some similarities such as the store, the mine, the tower and the smith. In the Mine, the players use the blocks into combinations of one or more in order to collect resources and crystals. In the store, the players spend crystals and resources in order to acquire magicbooks and blueprints. In the smith, the players finish the blueprints by accumulating some amount of resources within a given time, getting access to the new kinds of weapons. In the Tower, the player completes the magicbooks by solving the puzzles within a given number of moves, getting improved mining efficiency.
The "Aurora Feint II: The Arena"; has the several added features like online player vs. player dueling, news feeds, chat feature in its ‘tavern', leaderboards and extra character classes. The characters developed in the "Aurora Feint the Beginning"; could be changed into "Aurora Feint II: The Arena";.
The game developers wrote in a game forum post and spoke in an interview that the first release of the "Aurora Feint The Beginning"; was made over the ten weeks of time. Later on, its first release, reports spread of privacy concerns about the game's community features. According to a game forum post by the game's developer, on 22nd July the Apple store removed the game from the iTunes App Store. The game developers explained that the contact detail list was not really stored on their computer server, asking for customer feedback on options, and asking for the support on getting the game back to the App Store. On 24, July, the iTunes App Store stated carrying edition 1.0.0.1 game. According to the game developers, the new edition had some privacy concerns. ‘Aurora Feint The Beginning' was met with an approval compared to other games in the App Store which is provided for free. One of the reviewers explained the game as the most addictive and fun of the early iPhone games.
Aurora Feint II: The Arena was honored in a preview release for its another game called ‘Lord of the Rings asthetic' and for standing away from other contest three games. You can get these games in any of the App Store or can download online in their website.
