Many people will claim that wireless data traffic is literally at the verge of explosion and it almost seems that they might be right. There are many experts who think that wireless network companies need to actually rein in the usage of the networks or might end up facing a complete collapse if they don’t make it in time. The problem has arisen out of the fact that mobile networks are being used not only by those people who are using individual mobile phone devices but there are also those people who connect their laptops to these mobile networks, which is popularly known as “Dongles”. The traffic that the mobile networks thus have to face has increased greatly.
The problem that occurred seems to have been that only about five years ago, mobile network companies were doing their best by offering all kinds of plans to people in the country to get them to take up the services of mobile networks because these companies had already invested billions of dollars in the industry but the problem is that now that the trend has caught on traffic has increased in such a large rate, these companies seem to be caught out as the networks just cannot take on the pressure.
Take for example, one of America’s biggest mobile networks AT&T. They had started offering flat rate out plans to attract more customers for the iPhone. But instead of getting about a million customers as they had intended to they now have more than twelve million customers. Talk about pressure!
