Vienna At IBC Conference 'Mobile Health and the Environment "in London, went yesterday to an end, busy, international experts from various fields including the" Mobile Communication and Health "and issues of communication around the spread of mobile technology. As part of the conference was first known as the "TNO study" of the Dutch Health Council, a broad international audience of experts presented and discussed.
It Erich van Rongen put, scientific adviser and secretary of the Dutch Health Council, comprising all the results of the study open, which was previously discussed publicly only with respect to UMTS. "We were looking for subjects who classify themselves as GSM-sensitive and disturbance of their well-being attributable to GSM mobile emissions. These were then tested for GSM 900 and 1800 and on a UMTS-like signal. The fact that these individuals showed no reaction in GSM or reported, has even surprised us, "said van Rongen. But it shows that the ascribed by the subjects of the GSM technology does not damage the well-being associated with this technology. Van Rongen again stressed that the investigation will only be repeated, before definitive conclusions can be drawn concerning the comparison between GSM and UMTS, or via one of the two technologies.
In another Conference Paper Professor Alan Preece of Bristol Oncology Center, gave a lecture at the University of Bristol (UK, the results of its investigation of cognitive processes in children in the context of exposure) with electromagnetic fields of different field strengths. In his experiments, which were highlighted in particular cognitive functions such as reaction time, accuracy and precision, Preece was able to establish any link between the cognitive performance of children and the use of mobile phones.
