ITG has presented at the Computex 2009 show a 3G smartphone, using Windows XP operating system and is ready to begin distribution. The mobile features:

  • Display 4.8-inch WVGA touch screen with a resolution of 800x600 pixels
  • Supports connectivity with GSM / WCDMA, EVDO, WiMAX, WiFi, GPS, or TD-TD-HSDPA SDCMA
  • Bluetooth connectivity in addition to the above
  • House (do not know the resolution)
  • Touchpad
  • GPS
  • QWERTY Keyboard and Mouse Key Direction Button
  • Operating System Windows XP

In reality all these features seems much more a Ultramobile PC, or MID, a small computer that can fit in your pocket, but you can also call him.

Remains unknown distribution date, less the price at which they sell, but surely that if this project goes ahead many people will be launched with the purchase of this terminal.

Finally Windows XP on a mobile terminal, even prototype

It was time to see the famous Microsoft OS, Windows XP, in a mobile terminal, albeit in prototype form, but actually being able to have Windows XP, why we have Windows Mobile.

The terminal comes from the hand of BYD, a company engaged in the manufacture of batteries, and in addition to building cars, with an ATOM processor, also created by the brand itself, plus a QWERTY keyboard.

The fact that this is a pretty big terminal, but we can say that has a fairly large secondary display, along with its QWERTY keyboard, since it is a miniportátil.

Hopefully, this idea is carried out by people who take it more seriously and really think about carrying large operating systems to mobile terminals and smaller.
