Facebook and Microsoft announced the release of their Facebook application for Windows Mobile 6 and 6.5. The application downloaded on Windows Mobile, allows owners of smartphones with mobile operating system from Microsoft to send messages to their friends list, take pictures and videos and post them directly on Facebook, calling people to their friends list or manage their profile from the mobile terminal.
Facebook users with a profile geek probably less than a Twitter for example, and less professional than Linkedin, mobile usage around the first social networking world are certainly not widespread yet, but it is very likely that by few years access to Facebook via their smartphone will be an important part of the total audience of service.
I myself am not a fanatical user of Facebook, but I reached at least once a day for at least take a look at the messages, and I do almost exclusively with my iPhone and the excellent Facebook application and very rarely from the website.
