In February during the Mobile World Congress, Microsoft unveiled Windows Mobile 6.5, a new operating system for smartphones with tactile features and intended to compete with competitors like the iPhone or Android. In May, he delivered a release to manufacturing (RTM), that is to say a final version for OEMs. And this week, he just put online a kit for developers called Windows Mobile 6.5 Developer Tool Kit.
Available in French, it includes the gesture API, ie programming interfaces to build a touch screen, and simulator to see the application that is developed in different screen sizes .
Two versions of the kit are offered: a standard version for the smartphone screen classic and a professional version for smartphones with touch screen. To use one of these tools, it will nevertheless have downloaded the kit prior to Windows Mobile 6 SDK.
Note also that Microsoft has posted a small tutorial explaining how to create a widget for Windows Mobile 6.5. The first devices equipped with this OS should arrive at the operators for the next school year.
