For all those who were eagerly waiting to see what Microsoft would do with the Windows mobile phone in face of the formidable competition given by the Apple iPhone, will not have to wait very long any more. This will happen in October finally.
The windows mobile phone which will be releasing will be the Windows Mobile 6.5. It is being registered under the product name of Windows Mobile. However, there have been some doubts placed by no other than the CEO of Microsoft, Steve Ballmer. He feels that there are quite a few doubts as to whether the operating system of this smartphone will be that competitive at all. These opinions were registered at the Venture Capital Summit held in this year.There were quite a few people there who said that Ballmer is looking forward to the launch of Windows Mobile 7 already in the sequence of events. However, he has also announced the fact that the Windows 7 is well on its way and will hit the market within this year itself.. considering the fact that Microsoft has suffered a serious blow from the iPhone which is way ahead of the Windows mobile, it is time for the former to act and do some serious damage control.
Though the Windows Mobile 7 will not be earth shattering in terms of novelty, the phone will incorporate elements from both Windows Classic as well as Windows Mobile.
