The apps store for the iPhone is the envy of phone companies all over the world. With a staggering number of apps, no other phone has been able to beat the iPhone app collection as yet. Yet that should not prevent people from trying and it hasn't. In a much needed move, Microsoft has introduced the Windows marketplace which will have all the apps for Windows mobile.
There was no central store from which one could get the apps for a particular one and Apple was the first one to address this major problem by coming out with the creation of an apps store for the iPhone. That was the first ever time there was a central location from where one could purchase and/or download applications for a phone. Now no wonder that Apple has a huge number of applications for the iPhone. It becomes very easy and convenient for the user to select an application and download it or purchase it accordingly.Till now, there have been over 20,000 apps which have been created for the Windows Mobile. But until now there was no marketplace or centralized store from which one could purchase or download an app. Now, according to Microsoft, any application can be purchased from a computer and then synchronized with the phone. The Windows Mobile 6.5, along with the My Phone Marketplace will be seen on the market by the second half of 2010.
